Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026
The short version: Imprint does everything on your device. It never uploads, transmits, or stores your photos or personal data on any server. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no analytics. We can't see your photos, and neither can anyone else.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Imprint app (“Imprint”, “the app”) handles your information. Imprint is created and operated by David Day (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions, contact us at hello@imprint.photo.
Your photos stay on your device
To find edited duplicates and save edits onto your original photos, Imprint needs access to your photo library, which you grant through iOS’s standard permission prompt. All of this processing happens entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded, transmitted, or made visible to us or to any third party, and we never create copies of your photos outside your own library.
Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information through the app: no name, no account, no advertising identifiers, and no usage analytics. If you choose to email us, we’ll receive your email address and your message so that we can reply. We use that solely to respond to you and never add you to a marketing list.
No tracking or analytics
Imprint contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies. We do not profile you or follow you across other apps or websites.
Purchases
Imprint is free to begin, with a single one-time in-app purchase to unlock the rest. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Permissions
Imprint requests access to your Photos in order to work as described. It does not request your location, contacts, microphone, camera, or any other sensitive permission.
Children
Imprint is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. In fact, we collect no personal data at all.
Your rights
Because we don’t collect or store your personal data, there is essentially nothing for us to hold about you. Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have rights over any personal data a business holds about you; if you have emailed us and would like that correspondence deleted, just let us know at hello@imprint.photo.
Security
Your photos and any changes Imprint makes remain on your device, protected by your device’s own security. Because nothing is sent to us, there is no server-side store of your data that could be exposed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above, and any material changes will be reflected on this page.
